Shah Rukh Khan Expresses Thoughts on Fan’s Remark Linking Salman Khan’s Bald Look to Jawan Promotion: ‘From the Heart…’

In a recent #AskSRK interactive session, Shah Rukh Khan extended his affection towards his friend Salman Khan while addressing a query from a devoted fan. As the release date of Jawan approaches, excitement builds among fans. The film is set to hit screens on September 7.

Amid the eager anticipation for the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie, Jawan, the iconic actor engaged with his followers through an #AskSRK session held on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) last Saturday. While providing insights into various aspects of his life, from his personal style to marital advice, Shah Rukh once again demonstrated his signature wit and charm. Among the numerous inquiries, one particular post managed to stand out – a post centered around Salman Khan’s recent transformation.

The Bollywood community was abuzz with discussions when Salman Khan appeared with a distinct bald look, sparking a range of reactions from his admirers. While speculation arose about the potential reasons for this new look, a segment of the audience speculated that it might be a strategic move to promote Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, Jawan. It’s worth noting that Shah Rukh Khan himself sports a bald look in the film, directed by Atlee.

During the Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, a curious fan asked Shah Rukh Khan about the correlation between Salman Khan’s appearance and the promotion of Jawan. The fan’s tweet read, “@iamsrk sir Salman bhai ka latest look bata rha hai ki wo jawan ka promotion kar rhe kya ye sach hai” (Are you suggesting that Salman bhai’s latest look is in line with the promotion of Jawan?). In response, Shah Rukh conveyed a heartfelt message that resonated with the deep bond shared between the two Khans.

Drawing inspiration from a memorable line spoken by Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Shah Rukh Khan’s response read as follows: “Salman bhai ko mujhe pyaar dikhaane ke liye koi look nahi karna padhta. woh dil se hi mujhe hamesha pyaar karte hain. bas keh diya so keh diya” (Salman doesn’t need to change his look to show love to me. He loves me dearly always. I said what I had to say).

Directed by Atlee, Jawan boasts an impressive ensemble cast of female actors. Notably, it marks the entry of Tamil superstar Nayanthara into the Hindi film industry, with Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Riddhi Dogra playing pivotal roles. Additionally, Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in the film. During the session, Shah Rukh Khan aptly described Jawan as “a film about women made for men”.

In another tweet, a fan eagerly expressed their anticipation for the movie: “Hi @iamsrk sir, eagerly anticipating #Jawan! Can you tease us with one word that best describes the journey your character goes through in the film? #AskSRK.” Shah Rukh Khan’s response was concise yet impactful: “No tease, the one word that drives the movie is ‘Women’ it’s a film about women made for men!! Hope all like the Mass and Class….#Jawan”
